PARK SUPERINTENDENT Kenosha County Parks proudly manages eight parks with 15 miles of multi-use trails, 1,500 acres of parkland, two beaches, three dog parks, 45 holes of disc golf, the Fox River Water Trail, historically accredited mansions and cultural facilities at Kemper Center, and hosts nearly 300 events and programming annually. As our community grows, the Kenosha County parks have become a destination to our local and regional visitors. Our workforce is passionate and takes pride in being recognized as one of the best park systems within the State of Wisconsin! The Park Superintendent is a supervisory position that is responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and operation of all park facilities and grounds that he or she manages. Come be a part of our team! Kenosha County is committed to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and is anEqual Opportunity Employer. 2024 Hiring Range: $67,234 – $80,040 annually DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the regional management of numerous parks, natural areas, and multi-use trails within the Kenosha County Parks System. Operational management may include the oversight of beach operations, recreational amenities, historic facilities, playgrounds, multi-use trails, hiking trails, prairies, boat launches, pavilion rentals, large scale events, recreational programming areas, nature center facilities, and dog parks.Plans and supervises the maintenance and repairs to buildings within the parks. Performs administrative duties including payroll, budgets, equipment records, email correspondence. Interviews, hires, trains, guides, and motivates staff in work-related skills and customer service.Coordinates, partners, and guides volunteers and summer youth work programs. Attends seminars and classes to learn the most updated and relevant information.In winter months, responsible for snow and ice removal.Forestry, horticulture management, and plant identification.
